Mobilisation and Articulation: Osteopaths use mobilisation or articulation to free up tight joints.
Osteopathic Manipulation: This releases a restricted joint with a short thrust which may produce a cracking noise.
Cranial Osteopathy: Cranial osteopathy is an extremely gentle type of osteopathic technique used for the treatment of babies and disorders involving the head.
Dry needling/Acupuncture: This may be used in conjunction with other osteopathic techniques for the treatment of muscle strains and some upper back and shoulder problems.
If you are not happy with any of the osteopathic techniques suggested or being used by your osteopath at anytime, say so and they will be modified or not used.
